According to the Hindu Panchang, this sacred day is celebrated on the Krishna Paksha Ashtami tithi of the Margashirsha month. Lord Kaal Bhairav is the fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva. 2. Lord Kaal Bhairav’s Consort Or Wife: The wife of Baba Kaal bhairav is Devi Bairavi, who represents the interplay between masculine and feminine forces in order to maintain and run the cosmos.
3. Prominent Deity In Buddhism: The worship of Lord Kaal Bhairav is particularly prominent in Shaivism and Tantric traditions. 5. Reverence Of Baba Kaal Bhairav In Different Sects: Lord Kaal Bhairav is worshipped by Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists across India and Nepal. In Sri Lanka, Baba Bhairav is worshipped as Bahirawa who is the guardian of treasures. Lord Kaal Bhairav is the principal deity of the Aghori sect, and the members of the Kashmiri communities, especially those from Gorat, worship him during the Shivaratri festival.
