The four prahar puja on Mahashivratri holds utmost importance. This puja begins during the Nishita Kaal Muhurat on Mahashivratri. During every prahar, the worship is supposed to rectify different kinds of faults in an individual’s life and lead them towards Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. The auspicious time for the night Abhishekam on Mahashivratri 2026 begins on the evening of February 15th and continues until the morning of February 16th. The main 'Nishita Kaal' puja timing is between 12:09 and 12:59 am. Abhishekam of Mahadev during this special time is considered most beneficial.
