Masik Durga Ashtami November 2025: The sacred occasion of Masik Durga Ashtami is observed on the Shukla Paksha Ashtami tithi of every Hindu lunar month. This sacred occasion is dedicated to the worship of Maa Durga. Devi Maa or Devi Adi Shakti Durga is worshipped as the supreme feminine in Hinduism and is revered as the cosmic mother. She is believed to have been created by the combined powers of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. It is said that worshipping Maa Durga on the occasion of Masik Durga Ashtami removes persistent challenges and negativity, thereby also blessing the devotees with prosperity and success. Masik Durga Ashtami November 2025: Significance
It is believed that observing a vrat and worshipping Devi Durga on Masik Durga Ashtami vrat fulfils all the desires of the devotees. Observing this sacred vrat also ensures Maa Durga’s blessings for good health, success, prosperity and positivity. Devotees must worship Maa Durga and her eight other expansions on Masik Durga Ashtami to seek good fortune.
Masik Durga Ashtami November 2025: Rituals
On the occasion of Masik Durga Ashtami vrat, the devotees must wake up early in the morning, take a bath and wear clean, red clothes. Thereafter, they must clean the place of worship and purify it with Ganga water.
Devotees can spread a red cloth on a platform and place the idol of Goddess Durga on it. Offer a red chunri to Maa Durga and offer vermillion, rice grains, roli, and kumkum. Offer Devi Durga's favourite flowers - marigold, jasmine, and mogra. For bhog, the devotees can offer halwa, puri, chickpeas, and coconut.

Light incense and a ghee diya and chant Goddess Durga's mantras. The devotees can also recite the Durga Chalisa and Durga Saptashati to seek the blessings of the divine goddess. The puja of Masik Durga Ashtami is concluded with the aarti of Maa Durga.
