Importance Of Snakes In Hinduism
According to astrology, snakes are associated with the moon nodes. The head area of the snake represents Rahu, and the tail is referred to as Ketu. If, in the natal chart of an individual, all seven houses that fall between Rahu and Ketu planet are placed in reverse order, then the individual suffers from Kal Sarp Dosha. People suffering from the hardships of Kal Sarp Dosha should observe the festival of Nag Panchami to get relief from the hurdles.
