Navratri 2023 Day 4: Goddess Kushmanda is worshipped on the fourth day of Navratri. Maa Shailputri was worshipped on the first day of Navratri, and Mata Brahmacharini on the second. The third day of Navratri was dedicated to Maa Chandraghanta, and devotees will now worship Mata Kushmanda. The universe is said to have been created by the smile of Mata Kushmanda, the fourth manifestation of Goddess Durga. Her name is a pun on the words Ku, which means small, ushma, which indicates warmth, and anda, which means cosmic egg. According to Hindu legend, Maa Kushmanda's smile alone was enough to create the entire cosmos, known as Brahmanda. Since she has eight hands, the divine goddess is sometimes referred to as the Ashtabhuja Devi.

Royal Blue is the colour associated with the fourth day of Navratri. Goddess Kushmanda, who is associated with the fourth day of Navratri has been associated with creativity, strength and happiness. Royal blue, today's colour, stands for steadiness and power. Additionally, it stands for class, respect, and majesty. On this day, wearing royal blue invokes Kushmanda's blessings for creativity, fortune, and joy.

Navratri 2023 Day 4 Bhog 

Devotees can offer halwa or Malpua as bhog to goddess Kushmanda to seek her choicest blessings and accumulate great good fortune. 

Navratri 2023 Day 4 Puja Vidhi 

- After taking a bath, light a ghee diya and incense sticks in front of Mata Kushmanda’s image. 

- Red flowers are presented to Maa Kushmanda because devotees believe the divine goddess adores them. Worshippers can also offer shringar samagri to Mother Kushmanda and also present the bhog offering of halwa or malpua to the goddess. 

- To culminate the puja, perform goddess Kushmanda’s aarti and recite the Mata Kushmanda mantra to seek her divine blessings.
