Parama Ekadashi 2023: The Ekadashi Vrat is among the most significant fasts. The eleventh day of the fortnight of a lunar month is known as Ekadashi. Bright and dark fortnights make up a lunar month. Two Ekadashis fall each month, one in the Krishna Paksha (Dark Lunar Fortnight) and the other in the Shukla Paksha (Bright Lunar Fortnight). Hence, 24 Ekadashi fasts are observed annually. Devotees observe a fast and pray to Lord Vishnu on this day to attain salvation.

The Parama Ekadashi Vrat will be observed on 12th August 2023, Saturday. The Ekadashi Tithi will begin on 11th August, 2023, at 05:06 A.M. and the Vrat Paaran timings are from 05:49 A.M. - 08:19 A.M. on 13th August, 2023.

As Ekadashi is one of the most sacred and pure fasts, one must follow some strict rules and mandatory guidelines to ensure that the fast culminates properly.
