Sankashti Chaturthi May 2024: Ekadanta Sankashti Chaturthi Significance
Sankasthi Chaturthi is a significant religious and spiritual occasion in Hinduism. This day is dedicated only to celebrating Ganesh Ji, or Pratham Pujya. One of the most affectionate gods is Lord Shiva, the son of Goddess Parvati. Hindu texts say that unless you worship Ganesh Ji first, you cannot carry out any fortunate activity. It is believed that Lord Ganesha hears the prayers of his followers quickly and that all that is required to appease him is sincere devotion and observance of the prescribed rites. They must abstain from all harmful behaviours, including consuming alcohol, eating meat, and remaining celibate while fasting.
