Premanand Ji Maharaj Ekantik Vartalap: Shri Premanand Ji Maharaj, one of the most revered saints of Vrindavan with 23.5 million devoted fans on Instagram, continues to be an inspiration for millions of seekers with his insights into spirituality. In an Ekantik Vartalap session, wherein numerous people look up to him for advice in life, meditation and inner development, one young woman expressed how she is afraid to restart because of potential failure and pain on seeing the disappointment on the faces of her parents. In reply, Maharaj Ji provided wise insight, not only clearing her dilemma but also the general struggle of many who are afraid of setbacks and societal pressures on their path ahead.
In a very insightful message, Shri Premanand Ji Maharaj describes why one should never be afraid of failure. He speaks specifically to a well-known agony, which many younger people experience – the pressure to succeed and fear of disappointing their parents. When a student encounters failure, the student will automatically feel embarrassed and afraid of their parents' as well as peers’ reaction. Maharaj Ji advises the listeners to think whether this fear is actually theirs or others'. He explains how the majority of people, including parents, think in terms of personal benefit that if their child is successful, then they feel proud or are reassured. But this is self-interest, not a spiritual or altruistic concern.
Maharaj Ji warns that putting too much emphasis on what others will think can lead youth down the wrong path. He encourages self-introspection and inner confidence instead. One shouldn't get discouraged but keep trying with patience and faith. If a path doesn't work out, it makes sense to take another one without losing hope. He emphasises that success is not limited to high-level jobs or jobs in government. It is possible to earn well and live with dignity by opting for other professions like business, trade or even a simple occupation, provided it fulfils the family’s needs and brings peace.

Attempting again, in the same direction or a different one, demonstrates genuine wisdom. Fear of comparison with others and concern for disappointing parents can result in poor choices. Maharaj Ji recommends that, rather than giving in to fear or shame, one should keep moving forward with courage.
Essentially, Premanand Ji Maharaj enlightens that life is not for trying to appease others or seeking tags of success. Real success is about continuous effort, genuine work and belief in oneself and God. He advises youngsters to have faith in their journey and to be sure that each failure teaches a lesson.
