Shardiya Navratri 2024: Navratri Celebrations At Mata Vaishno Devi Katra

During Shardiya Navratri, Mata Vaishno Devi Katra transforms into a vibrant hub of spiritual fervour. The festivities commence with the invocation of Goddess Vaishno Devi, followed by elaborate pujas, havans, and yagnas. Devotees participate in morning and evening aartis, singing hymns and chanting sacred mantras. The temple is decorated with flowers, lights, and colourful decorations, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Special Navratri pujas, including the Shatchandi Yagna and Shodashopachara Puja, are performed to invoke the Goddess's blessings.

The celebrations reach their crescendo on the eighth and ninth days, with thousands of devotees participating in the Mahanavami and Navami Havan. The Navratri festivities conclude with the Vijayadashami ceremony, marking the triumph of good over evil. Devotees offer prayers, perform rituals, and seek the Goddess's blessings for prosperity, health, and happiness. The shrine board also invites singers and bhajan artists to perform at Mata’s Bhawan and Darbar to make the devotees enjoy Navratri festivities to the fullest.
