- Another well-known myth connected to Shiv Khori centres on the malevolent demon Bhasmasura, who became unstoppable after receiving a blessing from Lord Shiva. But when he became extremely powerful and began to threaten other gods, they begged Lord Vishnu to assist them in vanquishing him. Bhasmasura was deceived into executing a series of dance steps by Lord Vishnu, who was disguised as the stunning Mohini. Ultimately, Bhasmasura touched his own head with his palm, causing him to be reduced to ashes.
