Som Pradosh Vrat March 2026: Significance

Pradosh Vrat is an extremely auspicious day for the worship of Lord Shiva and starts 72 minutes before sunset. On this day, the Shiv Parivar is worshipped alongside Lord Shiva, including Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesha, Lord Kartikeya, and Nandi. By observing the Som Pradosh Vrat, one is believed to have good health, happiness, prosperity, and mental peace. In addition to this, the fast is also highly fruitful for attaining freedom from diseases and for receiving the blessings for progeny and a desired life partner.

Som Pradosh Vrat March 2026: Rituals

It is believed to be auspicious to perform the worship of Pradosh Vrat after sunset. On this day, wake up early in the morning and take a bath. After this, wear clean clothes. For the worship of Pradosh Vrat, fill a Kalash with Ganga jal and flowers. For the Abhishek of Shivling, use gangajal, milk, curd, ghee, and honey. After this, offer Belpatra and Dhatura to the Lord.
