Significance Of Surya And Chandra Grahan In Hinduism And Astrology
The ancient Hindu legends mention that eclipses happen because of Rahu and Ketu. These are demons that try to get even with the Sun and Moon by taking their light. When they attempt to overshadow the sun and the moon, it gets dark for a bit. This legend is meant to show that eclipses have always been viewed as unsettling times that upset nature's balance.
According to Vedic Astrology, eclipses are not the best time to start big projects or make important decisions. Starting something new, changing jobs, or making relationship decisions can be risky because the light isn't right. It is believed that Rahu and Ketu scramble energies, so acting impulsively during an eclipse could result in mix-ups, shocks or later regrets.
