Vastu Tips 2023: Tulsi, or Vrinda Devi is considered to be the most sacred plant according to ancient literary texts in Hinduism. It is believed that Tulsi eliminates negative energy and increases positive energy in a home. A Tulsi plant in the home brings harmony and contentment, according to Vastu. “Basil” is another name for this auspicious plant. It is frequently used in Ayurvedic medicine and has therapeutic properties. The Tulsi plant is regarded as the herbal kingdom's queen.

Tulsi is revered as a symbol of peace and wealth and is thought to be a living embodiment of the goddess Lakshmi. Vrinda devi is a representation of spiritual virtue, welfare, and purity. Without Tulsi leaves, religious ceremonies or offerings are incomplete. Its sacred leaves are a crucial component of the prasad. In a puja ceremony, tulsi leaves are an important component of the "panchamrita." Using Vrinda Devi's pious leaves in puja rituals blesses one's family with happiness and prosperity. According to astrology and vastu, there are specific guidelines that one should adhere to when worshiping and housing the tulsi plant. Neglecting to do so might invite misfortune and negativity.

Never Do These Things With The Holy Tulsi Plant

- Do Not Place It In South Direction:  It is said that the South direction belongs to one's ancestors known as "Pitra". As a result, one must never position a Tulsi plant in the South as doing so may lead to a substantial financial loss.

- Never Touch Tulsi Maharani With Unclean Hands:  As the Tulsi plant is extremely pure and revered, you must always worship it after taking a bath. However, you must also refrain from touching Vrinda Devi with unclean hands.

- Do Not Place Tulsi At The Main Entrance Of Your Home:  Vrinda Devi shouldn't be placed next to the front door of your home or anywhere people remove their shoes because doing so can bring bad luck.

- Do Not Touch Tulsi On These Days:  It is forbidden to go near Vrinda Devi on Ekadashi, Sundays, and the days of lunar or solar eclipses. One should not even offer water to the sacred Tulsi plant on Sundays.

- Do Not Offer Red Chunri To Vrinda Devi:  Red chunri is typically offered to the revered Tulsi plant. However, Goddess Tulsi represents the planet Mercury whereas Red is typically connected to Mars. Given that Mars and Mercury are rival planets, red colour shouldn't ever come in contact with Tulsi. Mercury's favorite planets are Venus and Saturn, therefore one can present Vrinda devi with either a vivid blue, white, or green chunri.
