Vishnupathi Punyakalam February 2025: Significance

Vishnupathi Punyakalam is a sacred period dedicated to Lord Vishnu, with four significant days in the traditional Hindu calendar. This occasion is deeply rooted in Tamil Vaishnava culture and is considered highly auspicious for worshipping Lord Narayana.

According to legend, Vishnupathi Punyakalam commemorates the transformative moment when Lord Vishnu's fierce incarnation, Narasimha, was calmed by Goddess Lakshmi. After killing the demon king Hiranyakashipu, Narasimha's anger persisted, striking fear into the hearts of gods and sages. Goddess Lakshmi's intervention brought peace, transforming Narasimha into Lakshmi Narasimha.

This divine moment is celebrated as Vishnupathi Punyakalam, a time when Lord Vishnu's compassion and blessings are abundant. Devotees believe that worshipping during this period brings immense spiritual growth and blessings.
