Vishwakarma Puja 2025 Mantra And Puja Vidhi: Vishwakarma Puja is an annual festival honouring Lord Vishwakarma, the god of architecture and engineering. It is regarded as a lucky day for craftsmen, artisans and anyone in a tech-related field. In Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and other states, this day is observed on Kanya Sankranti, while in West Bengal, Tripura, Assam, Jharkhand and Odisha, it is celebrated as Biswakarma Puja. Bihar and some northern areas celebrate it after Diwali, and Kerala observes it on Rishi Panchami. This year, Vishwakarma Puja 2025 on Kanya Sankranti is being celebrated on 17th September 2025.
On this sacred occasion, the devotees can recite Vishwakarma Puja mantras and perform the elaborate rituals to worship Lord Vishwakarma. Vishwakarma Puja Vidhi Step-By-Step Guide
Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated with special prayers in shops, offices, factories and workplaces. People worship Lord Vishwakarma, his elephant, and the tools and machines they use every day. Statues or pictures of the Lord are set up for worship. Workers and artisans gather after bathing, clean their tools and machines, and then offer their prayers.
Below is the list of step-by-step guide to perform Vishwakarma Puja vidhi that must be performed after cleaning the tools:
- Place a picture of Lord Vishnu along with the photo of Lord Vishwakarma at the place of worship.
- Offer kumkum (vermilion), akshat (raw rice), gulal, flowers, fruits, sweets, turmeric, betel nuts, incense sticks, rakshasutra, curd, and other sacred items with devotion.
- Create an Ashtadal Rangoli and place seven types of grains on it.
- Keep a Kalash filled with water for the Puja.
- Offer flowers to Lord Vishwakarma with respect and devotion.
- Apply tilak and akshat on all tools, machines and equipment used in daily work.
- Place the kalash at the worship area and apply roli and akshat to it.
- Recite the mantra “Om Shri Srishtanaya Sarvasiddhaya Vishwakarmaaya Namo Namah” with complete devotion and pray to Lord Vishwakarma. Additionally, apply tilak on the kalash and the picture of Lord Vishnu and Lord Vishwakarma.
- Offer sweets to the Gods and sprinkle akshat in the worship area.
- Sprinkle water mixed with flower petals throughout the home.
- Burn incense sticks and light a ghee diya at the place of worship.
- Perform the Aarti, ensuring that all employees, friends and family members present, especially in offices, shops, or factories.
- Offer Prasad to the deities first, and then distribute it among everyone present.
