In Sanatan Dharma, it is believed that brooms are highly auspicious. For this reason, there are favourable days to purchase a broom and unfavourable days to avoid doing so. According to customs, Goddess Laxmi used a broomstick to sweep the area before visiting Vaikuntha or Vishnulok. Therefore, a broom is undoubtedly an incarnation of the Goddess, and you can get luck, money, and the blessings of the Goddess Lakshmi by treating it with care and maintaining it in the right spot.

How Broom Can Help Get Rid Of Vastu Dosh

Direction To keep Broom - The southwest side of the house is the ideal orientation for the broom according to vastu. As it pleases Goddess Lakshmi, keeping the broom pointed in this direction aids in the flow of money for you. The northeast direction is the worst place to store the broom.

Placement And Orientation Of Broom - In addition to making sure the broom is adequately hidden, you also need to make sure it is not kept upside down, inverted, or standing up. The broom always represents the steady flow of money while it is in its resting posture. Make sure you don't leave the broom outside, such as on the balcony or terrace, when addressing Vastu dosh. It is disrespectful to the Goddess Lakshmi to do so. Furthermore, as it is a negative sign, make sure the broomstick stays out of the way even while you are hiding it.

Place To Keep Broom At Night - It could be a good idea to put the broom outside the home, preferably at the front door at night. It is not recommended to do this, though, if you reside in a busy area with plenty of foot traffic. The whole point of having the broom outside the front door is to shield you from bad energy. But it's important to make sure the broom is inside the home before the sun comes up.

Purchase Broom On These Days - It's crucial to adhere to Vastu Shastra if you're looking to purchase a new broom for whatever purpose. Saturday is the ideal day to change your brooms. You can also purchase a broom during Krishna Paksha. Buying it during Shukla Paksha is considered inauspicious.

Do Not Clean Your House With Broom In The Evening - The final four hours of the day are not the best times to sweep the house with a broom. This propagates negativity. But, you have to be careful to use a damp towel rather than a broom if you want to clean the house in the evening after a holiday or such. More importantly, if you have to use a broom in the evening, be careful not to discard any trash or dirt outside the home. Instead, store it next to the trash can and dispose of it in the morning.
