Ojas Deotale and Jyothi Surekha Vennam displayed exceptional confidence and accuracy as they secured their second gold medal in archery at the Asian Games. The Indian pair faced South Korean opponents in the gold medal match, with the Indian archers emerging victorious with a narrow one-point margin, winning 159-158.

This victory marked a significant achievement for Indian archers, as they are now set to win at least four medals at the ongoing Asian Games. It surpasses their previous best performance at the Incheon Games in 2014, where they secured a men's team compound gold, one silver, and one bronze.

In the gold medal clash, the Indian pair entered as the top two seeds and delivered a near-perfect performance. Their precise shooting edged out their South Korean rivals, So Chaewon and Joo Jaehoon, with a score of 159-158.

Throughout the tournament, the Indian duo showcased remarkable accuracy. In the semifinals against Kazakhstan, they had only one shot land in the '9' ring, with the rest hitting the '10' ring. Their composure and accuracy under pressure were evident in the final, securing another gold medal for India in archery.

In an earlier match against Malaysia, the Indian pair demonstrated their nerve and precision to win with a score of 158-155, advancing to the semifinals. Kazakhstan defeated Thailand with a score of 154-152.

This successful performance by Indian archers at the Asian Games matches their best-ever feat achieved in Incheon 2014, highlighting their continued excellence in the sport.
