Cristiano Ronaldo, the Al Nassr captain, once again hit the headlines but this time for being in action on the training pitch as he showed his remarkable skills of rapid free kicks.

Ronaldo was seen attempting a long-range free-kick which ended up in the back of the net, that too in the top corner.

It was a recreation of the effort of his 13-year-old son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. as he smashed it into the back of the net while in a training session and the Portuguese star added the message: "Cris, watch and learn". He then rounded it off with his famous "Siu" celebration.

It is to be noted that Ronaldo is preparing to return to action with his Saudi side Al Nassr.

The 38-year-old has scored an awesome 24 goals in just 25 games in all competitions for the Saudi Arabian side, helping their challenge for the Saudi Pro League title and for the AFC Champions League crown.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had a remarkable year in 2023 as he finished the year as the top goal scorer with 54 goals to his name for both club and country.

The 38-year-old pipped Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane (52 goals), PSG and France forward Kylian Mbappe (52 goals), and Manchester City and Norway striker Erling Haaln (50 goals) to finish as the leading goal-scorer in 2023.

Ronaldo summed up the monumental year for him saying that he was very happy to achieve the milestone, adding that he will try to do it again in 2024.

He had a frustrating phase during his second stint at his boyhood club Manchester United but is now in brilliant goal-scoring form since moving to Al Nassr in December 2022.

“I'm very happy, it was a good year for me as an individual and as a collective. I scored so many goals, I helped the team a lot at Al-Nassr and for the national team. I feel good, I feel happy and next year I will try to do it again,” said Ronaldo.

The ongoing Saudi Pro League season has witnessed another Ronaldo masterclass, where he’s struck 20 goals and provided nine assists in 18 games.

Ronaldo will next be in action with Al Nassr at the start of February when they take on Lionel Messi's Inter Miami in an all-star friendly. They will then face fellow Saudi side Al-Feiha in the AFC Champions League on February 12 before returning to league duty three days later.
