The stage is set for the seventh edition of the Asian Champions trophy in Chennai with six best team's of the continent vying for the one coveted title ahead of the Asian Games 2023.
India are hosting the tournament for the first time since its inception. India and Pakistan have won the comepetition three times each including sharing the title in 2018. South Korea are the defending champions of the Asian Champions trophy.
The biennial tournament will commence on Thursday, August 3 at Chennai's Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium which will host its first major event since 2007.
Teams in Asian Champions Trophy 2023
India, Pakistan, South Korea, Malaysia, Japan and China are the six participating teams in the Asian Champions Trophy 2023.
Asian Champions Trophy 2023 Format
Each team will play five other teams in the league stage and the top four teams in the table will qualify for the semifinals. A total of 15 matches will take place in the league stage. India all matches will start at 8:30 PM IST. Arch-rivals India and Pakistan will take on each other on August 9.
