India Open 2026: Lakshya Sen failed to control both the shuttle and the speed and thus exited the ongoing India Open Super 750, and that's how India's challenge came to an end. Taiwan’s Chun-Yi had beaten Sen by 21-17, 13-21, 18-21 in the quarterfinals.
He had a disappointing start and tried to play it wide as he was having a hard time facing the drift and didn't try to go too deep.
He then improved his speed in the second game with quick returns, which also included brilliant smashes and delicate drops on the net as he scored nine straight points, as he went from 5-2 to 11-5 and didn't let Lakshya bounce back.

The third game was quite close as far as points scored is concerned, and Lakshya took a lead of three points twice. Since Lin was never in trouble, and after he surpassed it, he won the game. He will lock horns with Canada's Victor Lai.
Kunlavut Vitidsarn lost to Loh Kean Yew in three games. Loh will lock horns with Indonesian Jonatan Christie, and he is one player whom he hasn't defeated in the World Tour.
Korean World No. 1 An Se Young maintained her sublime form as she defeated Putra Kusuma Wardani by 21-16, 21-8 and will face Ratchanok Intanon in the semifinal, whereas Zhi Yi Wang and Chen Yu Fei will play against each other in the other semifinal.
