Pakistan defeated South Korea 5-2 to claim the third spot in the Asian Champions Trophy 2024.

That's the end of this thrilling final and its India who have ended up on the winning side. They have defeated China 1-0 to lift their fifth title on the back of a late goal from Jugraj.

India and China have faced off in 17 matches in which Men in Blue prevailed 11 times. China have won on three occasions while the other three matches ended in draws.

Despite starting their campaign with a 0-3 defeat against India, hosts China scripted a stunning comeback to register wins over Malaysia (4-2) and Japan (2-0) and in the semifinals, they shocked Pakistan to register a 2-0 win.

In the previous league stage encounter between the two finalists, India registered a 3-0 victory over hosts China.

India displayed sheer dominance throughout the tournament, having secured wins against China (3-0), Japan (5-1), Malaysia (8-1), Korea (3-1), and Pakistan (2-1) in the group stage and a 4-1 victory against South Korea in the semi-final.
