Chhetri's miss was the only golden chance for the Blue Tigers as the game still lie goalless after the end of the first half of the extra time in Bengaluru.

That was a brilliant move from Udanta once again as he drove the ball away from the right side and provided a cheeky pass inside near the box but the chance couldn't find its target.

That was a golden opportunity of scoring missed by the skipper Chhetri. He couldn't control his shot taken off a cross from Udanta from the right flank.

The game in regular time ended as goalless. It will be up to the extra time now.

That was a good ball by Anwar from the deep towards Kuruniyan on the left, he plays it to Thapa in the middle, who could have taken an attempt at the goal but passed it to Chhangte on the right. He dribbles and takes a shot at the goal but with very less power as the goalkeeper makes a comfortable save. 

A few exciting moves from both teams were seen in the first half but were not enough to provide the game with a goal. An exciting display of play awaits on the other side.

“When you play the likes of Lebanon and Kuwait, you get an idea of how the likes of Syria, Uzbekistan [Asian Cup opponents] are. Of course, Uzbekistan is a top team. But it does give you an idea of what you are going to face.

“We will be meeting Australia but until then we will be playing the ISL. With due respect to ISL, we might not face the same tempo and standard Australia will bring.

“That’s why I am really happy that the likes of Kuwait and Lebanon agreed to come. With all due respect to the SAFF level, these matches give you a different idea and a different challenge. For us, in preparing for the Asian Cup, it is going to be helpful."

India head coach Igor Stimac was handed over a two-match ban for his red-card offense during their last group game of the SAFF Championship 2023 against Kuwait. This means the Croatian will not be in the dug-out for Tuesday’s SAFF Championship final if India make it.
