Indian wrestler Antim Panghal will be in action in the women’s 53kg freestyle category at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou on Thursday.
The two-time U-20 world champion is heading to the showpiece event on the back of a bronze medal win at the world wrestling championship in Belgrade earlier this year. She also has already secured a Paris 2024 Olympic quota at the event.
After the men's team's success, the women’s hockey team will also be aiming for the same as they will be playing hosts China in the semi-finals for a place in the gold medal match.

Compound archers Abhishek Verma, Ojas Pravin Deotale, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, and Aditi Gopichand Swami will be aiming for gold in the men’s and women’s team events.
India could be getting two more gold medals in Squash as Dipika Pallikal/Harinder Pal Sandhu will be in action in the mixed doubles final while Saurav Ghosal is in the men’s singles finale.
The Indian men’s bridge team will be dealing for gold in the final against Hong Kong China.
PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy, and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty are also just one win away from securing medals in respective badminton events.
The men's kabaddi team also will be in action as they will be playing their final group games.
