Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul Boxing Match: Jake Paul thrashed Mike Tyson in a unanimous decision on Friday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The scoreline of the bout for Paul read 80-72, 79-73, 79-73.
The 58-year-old Tyson tried to bounce back in the first round but Paul's youth and pace worked in his favor as he defeated the former heavyweight champion and Tyson's energy level began to dwindle.
Tyson wasn't seen struggling but Paul dominated the fight throughout with his precision and even brilliant punches.
Paul (11-1, 7 KOs), who is a 27-year-old Youtuber-turned boxer, started Saturday's bout with three consecutive wins after his only loss to Tommy Fury, owing to a split decision last year.
Tyson (50-7, 44 KOs), last played a fight against Roy Jones Jr, in an exhibition match in November 2020 but it was the first time on Friday when he first played in an approved boxing match since June 11, 2005 as that when he retired from the sport ahead of the seventh round in a TKO loss to Kevin McBride.
The fight on Saturday, which was supposed to be eight two-minute rounds, was earlier supposed to be held on July 20 but got postponed earlier this year after Tyson sustained an ulcer flareup during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.
