Brazilian forward Neymar has completed a move from French champions Paris St Germain (PSG) to Saudi Professional League (SPL) club Al-Hilal, as confirmed by the club on Tuesday. While specific details of the transfer were not disclosed, it was widely reported that the fee for Neymar's transfer was approximately 90 million euros ($98.24 million), along with potential add-ons. The transfer is subject to a medical examination for the 31-year-old.

Neymar had initially joined PSG in 2017 from Barcelona in a record-breaking transfer worth 222 million euros. During his time with PSG, he contributed significantly by scoring 118 goals in 173 appearances and secured various titles, including five Ligue 1 championships.

"It is inevitably difficult to say goodbye to a club legend, which Neymar will always be," PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said in a club statement.

"I will never forget the day he arrived at Paris Saint-Germain, nor what he has brought to our club and our project over the last six years.

"We've had some extraordinary moments and Neymar will always be part of our history. I would like to thank him and his family."

Al-Hilal, a prominent club in Saudi Arabia and Asia, made efforts to acquire Neymar's former teammates, France striker Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi. However, Messi ultimately chose to join Major League Soccer's Inter Miami.

Renowned for their success, Al-Hilal has an impressive record of winning 66 trophies, notably holding records for the most league and Asian Champions League titles with 18 and four, respectively.

Al-Hilal's focus on strengthening their team is underscored by their need to bolster the squad following an investment and privatization initiative announced by the Saudi Public Investment Fund in June. This project involves sports clubs, including league champions Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr, and Al-Hilal.
