Paralympic gold medalist Navdeep Singh narrated his remarkable tale of overpowering adversity and triumphing at the Paris Games. His initial silver medal in the men's javelin F41 final was upgraded to gold, sparking national jubilation.

Navdeep candidly shared the personal struggles he overcame to reach the pinnacle of success. Navdeep shared a heart-wrenching account of how he changed painful remarks from society into power for his strength. He revealed that some people had callously told him to end his life, but instead, he directed those harsh words as motivation to crush life's challenges.

“Aapko kya lagta hai hume hausla kaha se aata hai? Jab wo bolte hain ki tu kuch nahi kar sakta. Isse acha to tu suicide kar le. Ye kya jeewan hai tera [Where do you think we get our courage from? When they say you can't do anything. It's better if you just commit suicide. What kind of life is this for you?],” Navdeep told Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel.

Navdeep fondly remembered his late father, who played a key role in introducing him to the world of sports and encouraging his athletic talent.

“Shuruwat unhone karwai thi. Har jagah saath they [He was the one who got me started. He was with me every step of the way],” Navdeep added.

Navdeep's golden moment came with an impressive javelin throw of 47.32 meters, clinching the top spot and quieting the naysayers who had questioned his capabilities due to his physical limitations.
