India's Satwik and Chirag have suffered a defeat by 21-13, 14-21, and 16-21 against Malaysian pair in the Men’s doubles quarter-finals.

Satwik and Chirag are ahead by 11-9 midway in the final match against the Malaysian pair.

The second game goes to the Malaysian pair as they got the better of Satwik and Chirag by 21-14.

Akshdeep Singh pulled out of the race around 6km mark.

India have just two medals under its belt so far at the Paris Games. Manu Bhaker won a bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event and followed it with another bronze in the 10m pistol mixed team event alongside Sarabjot Singh.

The nation has witnessed a few heartbreaks so far as well with shooter Arjun Babuta missing out on a medal in the 10m air rifle event.

India have a chance to add more to its medal tally as the final of the Men’s 50m rifle 3 positions will take place where star shooter Swapnil Kusale will have a shot at a podium finish. Key fixtures will take place in Badminton including the round of 16 match between Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy in men's singles. Boxer Nikhat Zareen will also be in action in Women’s 50kg round of 16 match.
