The Yuva Kabaddi Series Monsoon Edition 2023 in Madurai, India, featured some of the country's most promising kabaddi talents, delivering action-packed performances that captivated fans throughout the tournament. Over 300 players from 16 teams participated in 132 matches, culminating in Aravalli Arrows clinching the title and lifting the prestigious trophy.

The thrilling action from the tournament was broadcast live on DD Sports and also streamed on FanCode, offering fans a glimpse of India's future kabaddi stars.

Several standout players from the Monsoon Edition have earned opportunities with Pro Kabaddi League teams. Here are the top five performers from the tournament:

Arjun Rathee (Chola Veerans):

Arjun Rathee, a raider from Chola Veerans, emerged as the most impressive player in the tournament.

He scored a total of 197 points, including 141 touch points, 54 bonus points, and two tackle points in 18 matches.

The 21-year-old Arjun, hailing from Haridwar, Uttarakhand, aspires to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Deepak Niwas Hooda, and represent the Indian Kabaddi Team.

Suresh Oruganti (Vijayanagara Veers):

Suresh Oruganti, a raider from Vijayanagara Veers, utilized his long reach to great effect during the tournament.

He accumulated a total of 193 points in 17 matches, including 142 touch points, 50 bonus points, and one tackle point.

Suresh, a 23-year-old player born in Telangana, draws inspiration from former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni and aims to continue his impressive performance to reach new heights in his career.

Sonu Rathee (Murthal Magnets):

Sonu Rathee, a 16-year-old defender from Murthal Magnets, continued his family's legacy in kabaddi.

He played a crucial role in his team's journey to the final, scoring a total of 101 points in 23 matches, including 97 tackle points and four raid points.

Sonu, from Haryana, showcased a tackle success rate of 59.24 percent, emphasizing his grip's effectiveness during matches.

Lokesh Ghosliya (Aravalli Arrows):

Lokesh Ghosliya, representing Aravalli Arrows, played a pivotal role in his team's success in the tournament.

The 18-year-old from Rajasthan, son of a farmer, displayed strong physical attributes and contributed 71 points in 20 matches, including 68 tackle points and three raid points.

Vishva Asalavan (Palani Tuskers):

Raider Vishva Asalavan, playing for Palani Tuskers, showcased significant potential in the tournament.

The 21-year-old from Tamil Nadu aspires to follow in the footsteps of Ajay Thakur and represent the country.

He amassed a total of 153 points, including 126 touch points and 27 bonus points in 18 matches during the tournament.
