Islam Makhachev vs Alexander Volkanovski UFC 294 main event: The UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) 294 main event will be featuring the much-awaited clash between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski on Saturday.
Makhachev is all set to defend his UFC lightweight title in a second consecutive fight which is a rematch between the two decorated supertstars.
Makhachev claimed the title with a second-round submission win over Charles Oliveira last year in October in Abu Dhabi as he picked up a dominant win over the Brazilian in an emphatic fashion.
He was soon to react after the bout as he called out Volkanovski, agreeing to face the Australian on his home turf in Perth in February.

The two battled in arguably the best fight of the year at UFC 284, with Makhachev retaining his title in an intense fight.
While Makhachev was on a hunt, waiting for his next challenger to emerge since emerging victorious in February, the 35-year-old Volkanovski returned to featherweight and went past Yair Rodriguez easily at UFC 290 in July to further cement his standing as the best fighter in the division.
