US Open 2025: Indian challenge at the US Open Grand Slam came to a halt on Thursday as Yuki Bhambri, along with doubles partner Michael Venus, went down to a higher-ranked pair, Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski, in the semi-final of the US Open 2025 men's doubles category. The match lasted a marathon two hours and 53 minutes, with the team losing 7-6 (2), 6-7 (5), 4-6, at the iconic Louis Armstrong Arena in New York.
There was plenty of support for Bhambri as the Indian Tennis player was featuring in his maiden Grand Slam semi-final, since Sania Mirza and Leander Paes, who won the title and were the first to reach the final since Rohan Bopanna in 2023.

Aryna Sabalenka Downs Jessica Pegula In Semis
The current world number one, Aryna Sabalenka, defeated local favourite Jessica Pegula 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in their semi-final match on Thursday.
The Belarusian recovered from a nervy start in a rematch of the 2024 finale, drowning out the partisan fans at Arthur Ashe Stadium and overwhelming the fourth seed with 43 winners and eight aces.
Pegula brought some of her best tennis to Flushing Meadows this year, but after winning the first set, she struggled to absorb the three-time major winner's power.
