US Open 2025 Semifinal Match Result: Jannik Sinner is all set to face Carlos Alcaraz in the final of the US Open 2025 on Sunday, September 7. Sinner defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinal.

Sinner is the defending champion at the US Open, and he has been in red-hot form in the tournament. He's looked unbeatable at times, dropping just two sets. This is the third time that Alcaraz and Djokovic will face off in a Grand Slam final this year, which is the first instance of two players playing three major finals in a season.

Earlier, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner faced off at the Roland Garros and Wimbledon finals, with Alcaraz winning the French Open and Sinner taking home the Wimbledon title.

"Amazing season. The Grand Slams are the most important tournaments we have, and finding myself again in another final, especially the last one this season, with an amazing crowd... It doesn't get any better," Sinner said.

"Felix and I played in the last tournament (in Cincinnati). He's a completely different player. He was serving much better, hitting every shot much better, so it was a tough match, but I'm obviously very happy.

"I saw he was injured at some point, so hopefully it's nothing bad. I wish him only the best. He's an amazing player and an amazing person, so it's always nice to share some nice matches with him."

Sinner is only the fourth man in the professional era that began in 1968 to reach all four Grand Slam finals in a single season, joining Djokovic, Rod Laver and Roger Federer.

The 24-year-old is now only the fourth man in the professional era that began in 1968 to reach all four Grand Slam finals in a single season, joining Djokovic, Rod Laver and Roger Federer.

Sinner is also on a 27-match winning streak on hard court, with his last defeat coming against Alexander Zverev in the fourth round at the US Open in 2023. If Sinner manages to defend his US Open title, he will become the second man in history to win both the Australian Open and US Open in back-to-back years after Roger Federer in 2006-07.
