Vinícius Júnior has sent a message to Real Madrid fans after another frustrating outing in front of goal during the club's dramatic 3-2 victory over Elche in LaLiga.

Despite Real Madrid securing all three points through a late Carlos Espí winner, the Brazilian forward endured a difficult night and admitted that he cannot afford to waste so many chances.

Taking to Instagram after the game, Vini Jr openly acknowledged his finishing problems and promised a response in the next match.

“The goals will return. I cannot miss so many. Sunday, there will be more. Hala Madrid!” he wrote.

Vini Jr Struggles In Front Of Goal

The Brazilian was clearly frustrated throughout his 68 minutes on the pitch at the Martínez Valero. He had several opportunities to find the net but was unable to convert them before being substituted in the second half.

Vini registered five shots against Elche, with only one finding the target. His struggles continued a difficult start to the 2026-27 campaign, with the forward having scored just once in his first seven appearances across competitions.

One of his clearest opportunities came in the second half when he found himself in a one-on-one situation, but his effort went wide.

Real Madrid's official match report also highlighted an earlier chance when Vini connected with a through ball from Arda Güler but sent his effort just wide.

Real Madrid Survive Elche Fightback

Madrid appeared to be cruising after Arda Güler opened the scoring and Kylian Mbappé doubled the advantage before half-time. However, Elche mounted a strong comeback after the break, with Abiel Osorio and Fer Niño scoring to bring the hosts level.

Carlos Espí eventually rescued Madrid in stoppage time, finishing a move created by Jude Bellingham and Mbappé to secure a dramatic 3-2 victory.

The result took Los Blancos onto 15 points from six league matches, level with Barcelona, who have a game in hand.

Vini Already Looking Towards The Derby

Vini's message also pointed towards Real Madrid's next fixture. The Brazilian wrote that “Sunday, there will be more,” referring to the upcoming Madrid derby against Atlético Madrid at the Metropolitano on September 20.
