Notably, these medals were won in various events such as relay races, hurdle races, tug of war, wrestling, long jump, badminton, and chess.
Among the standout performers was fireman Mariyappan from Tamil Nadu, who won four gold medals in the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m races. Another notable contributor, Sharad Kumar Tewatia, a leading fireman from Delhi, won a gold medal in the 4×100m relay, three silver medals in long jump and badminton singles and doubles, and a bronze in tug of war.

The team’s outstanding performance earned them a warm reception back home, with Atul Garg, the Director of Delhi Fire Service, praising their accomplishments during a felicitation ceremony held on their return. The team collectively secured eight golds, 11 silvers, and 2 bronze medals, marking a significant achievement for the Indian firefighting community on the international stage.
