How to use the scam detection tool Norton Genie?

Before proceeding, a user must note that the website states: "Genie is always learning". This could imply it may store the media material sent to the tool for training.

After downloading the Genie app, a user can start by uploading a screenshot or pasting a text from a message from an email, social media post or website. And Genie will process the results and tell you whether it is a scam. Not just media material, it can also tell whether a web address is linked to a malicious website or is safe.

Besides detecting scams, Genie can also answer user queries and share tips if a user has fallen for any of such sophisticated scams.
