Airtel Prepaid Plans Price Hike: There is a shocker for crores of customers that Airtel caters to as the Indian telecom giant has silently increased the price of two of its plans. There has been an increase in Airtel's long-validity plans by Rs 250 which offered limited data, unlimited calling and SMS.

Prior to this change, the plan was available in Rs1,999 which will now cost Rs2,249. Similarly, the plan which used to cost Rs 509 will now be priced at Rs 548. The only benefit here is a little more data that the customers can get, but the rest remains the same as before.

Rs 548 Prepaid Plan Details

This new plan with long validity and other benefits included for 84 days, will now cost you Rs 548. This plan will offer a total of 7GB of data, unlimited voice calls and 900 SMS.  Additionally, Airtel rewards will be included in the plan which gives 3 months of Apollo 24/7 Circle and a free Hello Tunes subscription.

Earlier the plan was priced at Rs509 with 6GB of data along with unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS. With the increase of Rs 39, customers will now get an additional 1GB of data with other benefits remaining the same.

Rs 2,249 Yealy Prepaid Plan

For those eyeing a more affordable yearly plan with less data Airtel now has a new plan of Rs 2,249. This plan will offer 30 GB of data and 3600 SMS with a validity of a full year that is 365 days. This plan will also cover 3 months of Apollo 24/7 Circle membership and a free Hello Tunes subscription.

Earlier this plan came with 24 GB data, unlimited calls and 3600 SMS for Rs 1,999. This time with an increase of Rs 250 only 6 GB of additional data is on offer while the rest remains the same.
