Recharging every month can get annoying, especially for people who know they are going to keep using the same number throughout the year. A yearly recharge takes that hassle away, but picking one is not as simple as looking at the price.

Jio, Airtel and Vi have several prepaid plans with up to 365 days of validity. The plans differ quite a bit when it comes to daily data, calling, SMS and bundled services. Some are aimed at heavy data users, while others make more sense if you mainly want to keep your number active without spending too much.

Here is what Jio, Airtel and Vi currently offer for a full year's validity.

Jio's 365-Day Recharge Plans

Jio has two annual prepaid plans, priced at ₹3,599 and ₹3,999. Interestingly, both offer 2.5GB of high-speed data every day, along with unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day.

The ₹3,999 plan also includes unlimited 5G data for eligible users. On top of the regular benefits, subscribers get FanCode, JioTV, 50GB of JioAICloud storage and a Mobile+ Hollywood subscription through JioHotstar.

There is also an 18-month Google Gemini Pro subscription with 5,000GB of cloud storage.

The ₹3,599 plan takes a slightly different approach. It also gives 2.5GB of daily data, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day, but comes with a JioTV Pro Pack voucher, 120GB of additional data and 50GB of JioAICloud storage.

Jio also bundles an 18-month Google Gemini Pro subscription and JioHotstar with this plan.

Airtel's 365-Day Plans

Airtel's annual prepaid options start at ₹3,599. This plan gives 2GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day. Users with compatible devices and plans can also use unlimited 5G data.

For ₹3,999, Airtel increases the daily data allowance to 2.5GB. The plan continues to offer unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day, and also includes a 12-month Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription.

Both Airtel plans support unlimited 5G data for eligible users.

Vi Has More Annual Plans To Choose From

Vi has a much larger selection of 365-day plans, including some that are considerably cheaper than the annual options from Jio and Airtel.

The ₹1,189 plan comes with 50GB of data. The ₹1,849 option focuses on calling and SMS, offering unlimited calls and 3,600 SMS. At ₹2,249, users get 30GB of data along with unlimited calls and 3,600 SMS.

For people who want a daily data allowance, Vi's annual plans start at ₹3,599. This pack offers 2GB of data per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day, along with Hero Unlimited benefits such as Binge All Night and Weekend Data Rollover.

Vi has several versions of this plan with different OTT benefits. The ₹3,699 pack includes Disney+ Hotstar, while the ₹3,799 option comes with Amazon Prime Lite. The ₹3,999 plan combines both Disney+ Hotstar and Amazon Prime Lite.

All three offer 2GB of daily data, 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calls.

At the higher end, Vi's ₹4,999 plan is aimed more at people who want OTT content along with their mobile service. It includes more than 18 OTT subscriptions, including JioHotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5 and Lionsgate Play. Users also get 2GB of daily data, 200 SMS per day and one year of Prime Lite.

Vi also has a ₹3,749 option for users looking for unlimited 5G and 4G data. This plan does not include OTT access or calling benefits.

Jio vs Airtel vs Vi: Which One Makes Sense?

For someone who only wants a number to remain active and does not need much data, Vi's cheaper annual plans are the obvious options to consider.

The picture changes for users who consume a lot of mobile data. Jio and Airtel have straightforward annual plans with 2GB or 2.5GB of data every day, while Vi gives users more choices depending on whether they want OTT subscriptions, additional data or its Hero Unlimited benefits.

Jio's plans come with the longest list of bundled services, including Google Gemini and JioAICloud, while Airtel's ₹3,999 plan keeps things simpler with 2.5GB daily data and Disney+ Hotstar.

Vi is probably the operator to look at if you want more flexibility. Its annual plans cover everything from basic calling and limited data to daily data packs and OTT-heavy bundles.

Ultimately, the cheapest plan is not necessarily the best one. If you rarely use mobile data, there is little point paying for 2.5GB every day. On the other hand, heavy data users may find the cheaper annual plans restrictive, even if they save money upfront.
