All you need to know about Amazon's announcements:

- AI-Powered Alexa

Amazon has announced that it will soon integrate Alexa, its voice assistant, with a new generative AI model which will power its Echo devices. Amazon said that the AI-powered Alexa will provide more conversational experiences to its users, losing its robotic tone and will answer questions like the start time for football games and recipe ideas. It will also be able to compose and recite poems. The new model will also interact with APIs to interact with smart home capabilities. The new Alexa model will also adjust its tone and responses to the queries of the users.

The Echo World

- Echo Show 8

Amazon also announced the all-new Echo Show 8, which has been priced at USD 149.99 and will be shipped starting in October. The new Echo Show 8 is equipped with a centred camera and background noise minimisation feature, enhancing the video call experience. The Echo Show 8 boasts a room adaption feature that can sense the environment of the room and adjust the playback for optimal sound. A user can also control all its smart home devices through the built-in smart home hub feature. Amazon has also brought adaptive content to the Echo Show 8, through which your home screen will change based on your proximity to the Echo Show 8.

Echo Hub Smart Control Panel

Priced at USD 179.99, the Echo Hub is a smart home control panel providing users with a simple way to control their smart home devices. The Echo Hub is equipped with a thin, eight-inch display and offers a customisable home dashboard which helps users to group and manage smart home devices. Users can also view multiple camera feeds on the Echo Hub. The Echo Hub also boasts an adaptive content feature. It uses infrared technology to detect the proximity of a person. It can mounted on a wall or placed on a counter with a stand accessory. It supports Zigbee, Sidewalk, Thread, Bluetooth and Matter. Echo Hub can connect to the internet wirelessly, or via ethernet with a compatible power-over-ethernet (PoE) adapter.

Echo Frames

Amazon has introduced the brand new Echo Frames and integrated them with Alexa on the go. Priced at USD 269.99, the Echo Frames allow users to call on Alexa for everyday activities. Users can also play music through these Echo Frames with just a tap. Among other features, the most amazing one is that you can locate the Echo Frames by just asking Alexa to help find them. The Echo Frames come with multiple lens options including sunglass lenses with UV400 protection, prescription-ready, or blue light lenses. They’re also IPX4 splash and scratch-resistant. The Echo Frames provides up to six hours of continuous media playback or up to 14 hours of moderate usage on a full battery charge. They can be charged wirelessly with a charging stand.

Launching alongside the new Echo Frames are Carrera Smart Glasses, a new line of smart eyewear that combines Alexa with fashion-forward frame styles designed by Carrera Eyewear. The collection includes two new frame designs — Carrera Cruiser and Carrera Sprinter.
