AMD RX 9060 XT: AMD unveiled a new mid-range GPU, the Radeon RX 9060 XT, during Computex in 2025, strategically releasing it around the same time as NVIDIA’s anticipated GeForce RTX 5060. As expected, the Radeon RX 9060 XT is based on the latest RDNA4 architecture and features two variants: one with 8GB of VRAM and another with 16GB of VRAM.
Appropriately, the RX 9070 series has the Navi 48 GPU, and the RX 9060 XT is equipped with Navi 44, which is more cost friendly to the rest of the gamers who are using it. It brings decent specs like mid-range gamers would expect. It contains 32 compute units, which is 2048 cores, with 32 ray tracing types and 64 AI-type cores. All of these deliver substantial power for always-playing titles while being affordable.
1 .It is built on TSMC's 4nm and achieves up to 3.13 GHz at boost. With that, it gets GDDR6 onboard memory with 20 Gbps bandwidth and a 128-bit interface. For performance claims, AMD does offer targets of busts in competition. In this case, it’s claiming the RX 9060 XT with 16GB goes 6 per cent faster than the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti by NVIDIA while having 15 per cent greater performance per value when compared to others.
In terms of connectivity, AMD has upgraded the display outputs this time. The RX 9060 XT supports DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b and connects via a PCIe 5.0 x16 interface — still fully compatible with older PCIe 4.0 or even 3.0 boards. It also includes support for AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4) out of the box, adding an extra performance uplift for supported games.
On paper, the Radeon RX 9060 XT seems to be a strong competitor in the mid-range segment. Real-world benchmarks will ultimately tell how it stacks up against NVIDIA’s RTX 5060, but based on the specs alone, users can expect the 8GB version to offer roughly half the performance of the higher-end RX 9070 XT — at a far more accessible price.
Speaking of which, AMD has priced the 8GB variant at $299 and the 16GB model at $349, which converts to around Rs 25,676 and Rs 29,955 in India — a promising festive deal for budget-conscious gamers.
