Google Circle to Search feature, which was previously available on select Samsung Galaxy and Pixel phones, has been one of the most popular among Android users. Previously, iOS lacked the feature, but not anymore. Similar functionality is coming to iOS Shortcut and Google Lens, which will allow iPhone users to engage the visual search feature using the action button.
Minsang Choi, Google Lens Design Manager has confirmed that the users will be able to enjoy the visual search experience which is very similar to the Circle to Search feature via the Google App. The Google App takes the screenshot and uses the Google Lens to process and search the image.

For the iPhones which do not have the Action Button, the users can activate the feature using the Back Tap gesture. The gesture can be enabled by visiting the Settings then Accessibility and then Touch wherein users can customise the settings between Double Tap or Triple Tap under Back Tap, then assign a shortcut. After the users set up the settings, they will be able to initiate the Visual Search feature.
Additionally, the Google App shortcut makes it simpler and more convenient for iPhone users to access Google Lens for text translation and copying from photos.
