Apple iPhone 15 series has already created enough buzz as the company is expected to ditch its popular Lightning Port after a decade and shift towards the USB-C port to comply with EU laws. With this, the pictures of upcoming USB C cables have already been leaked and it is speculated whether will it be faster than the lighting port or not.

The USB-C offers a variety of features to the users including universal adaptability, higher data transfer and fast charging speeds, but a new report claims that iPhone 15 users may not be able to use these features.

This came after Majin Bu, an Apple researcher, in his report mentioned that the tech giant will be limiting the iPhone 15 series to USB 2.0 speed which suggests that the USB-C port may be much similar to the Lightning Port. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro and other top-end models will offer a superfast USB-C port with a speed of up to 40 Gbps.

iPhone 15 USB-C Specifications (Expected):

According to a report, the iPhone 15 will come up with a 1.6m long USB-C cable with a USB 2.0 20V3A port and is said to offer the same bandwidth as the Lightning port. However, the cable is expected to be longer and stronger too. Also, the leaked cables are not MFI (Made for iPhones) certified, which means the company is yet to approve the compatibility.

It is also expected that Apple may also introduce matching quirky cables similar to the colours of the iPhones. However, the company has not confirmed any development on the USB-C port, colours and other specifications.

Meanwhile, Apple is yet to confirm the launch date of the iPhone 15 series, the Apple Watch 2 Ultra, along with other products.
