Apple launched the iPhone 15 series recently. It received a good response from buyers as they thronged to Apple stores to buy one for them. But what if we say people looted an iPhone store in Philadelphia, USA, with several individuals stealing multiple phones from the outlet? While one screamed 'Free iPhones', there were others recording the entire scene.

Though people successfully took away iPhones in large numbers, this loot will turn into a failed effort. We say this because the demo units scraped away from the stores by these teenagers ship with security features distinct from a typical iPhone. They offer enterprise-grade features to keep track of them.

According to a 91Mobiles report, these units can be tracked, an alarm can be triggered remotely and the camera can be switched on to record footage. And it seems these teenagers got aversed about this after some time and had to abandon these devices. The report added that several of these models were thrown away.

Further, Ian Zelbo from 9To5Mac added that no new OS can be flashed on these devices. Plus, they can be remotely disabled. In a video, an activated alarm on the device reads: "Please return to Apple Walnut Street. This device has been disabled and is being tracked."

The indicator light for the camera is green which indicates the camera was active to record the environment. Hence, this was a failed saga of these individuals to get their hands on these new devices. According to NBC News, over 50 people were arrested in connection to this loot and other stealing incidents from Foot Locker and Lulu Lemon. The group took advantage of an ongoing protest and planned this robbery.

For context, the Cupertino-based tech giant introduced four new iPhones at its September 12 event. These include the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
