Apple has officially introduced the Final Cut Pro 11 with a host of new upgrades and AI features. The new Final Cut Pro 11 is more optimised, specifically for the M-series chips and comes with integrated tools for spatial video editing. It includes the upgrades to Final Cut Camera and Logic Pro.
The Final Cut Pro 11 for Macs now includes the Magnetic Mask and Transcribe to Captions features. For the unversed, the Magnetic Mask enables automatic isolation of subjects in video without complex rotoscoping, while the Transcribe to Captions offers quick, accurate captioning powered by Apple’s large language model. The update also brings Spatial video editing and exporting.
The tech giant has also optimised features like Magnetic Timeline, multi-cam editing, and proxy tool, improving the playback speeds and file handling for smoother workflows.
Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.1 and Final Cut Camera Enhance Light and Color tools, Live Drawing ink options, and haptic feedback to enhance the touch-first experience. The feature will now allow the users to improve their visual and audio quality. The Final Cut Camera 1.1 now supports 4K120 fps recording, Log-encoded HEVC video, and on-the-fly LUT previews.
Logic Pro 11.1 for Mac and iPad
Logic Pro 11.1 now comes with the Quantec Room Simulator plug-in, which simulates the acoustics of various rooms, enhancing audio realism for music and video projects. It also offers improved channel reordering and streamlined plug-in search.
Final Cut Pro 11 and Logic Pro 11.1 updates are free for existing users on Mac, with new licences available for $299.99 and $199.99, respectively. iPad versions of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro are available via monthly subscriptions or annual plans.
