APPLE’s highly anticipated AR/VR headset which is pretty much likely to be unveiled at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2023) has been the talk of town for a while now. In a new update, the AR/VR headset also called a mixed reality headset is said to be featuring a pixel-dense and bright display. This came after display analyst Ross Young took to Twitter to announce that the AR/VR headset will be equipped with two 1.41-inch Micro OLED screens with 4000 ppi, and would be capable of producing a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits, as per the report The Verge.
He continued on in the tweet by saying that users would be able to see 4K resolution per eye. According to earlier reports, it is anticipated that the headset will be a powerful tool, and displays like these could give it a boost.
The headset is also rumoured to have features like a dial to exit virtual reality and sophisticated hand tracking, according to the report, though it might also be powered by an external battery pack. The headset could cost about $3,000.
Meanwhile, Apple is all set to launch the highly anticipated MacBook Air 15-inch along with an AR VR headset and other things on the first day of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023 which will start on June 5. Additionally, the company will also be announcing the iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and MacOS for the users.
Further, the company may also use the recently introduced M2 chip in the MacBook Air 15-inch. However, there are speculations that Apple may unveil the next generation M3 chipset. Additionally, the company may also introduce the AI-based features with its iOS 17.
