New Delhi | Jagran Tech Desk: Cyber Criminals first attack the password to hack any user's data. They try to break the user's password and get access into accounts and steal details in order to misuse it. At times, it gets very easy to hack a password as people are very careless about their password these days. As per a research conducted by cybersecurity firm ImmuniWeb, about 16 million out of 21 million accounts of 500 best companies of the world were hacked as it contained plain text in password.

The report of the research firm has also stated that out of these 2.10 crore accounts, 49 lakh account passwords were unique. This means that it was not easy to hack them. At the same time, most accounts had passwords that were very easy to hack. There were 32 passwords in them, which can be easily hacked.

We always try to keep our password easy so that we can remember it but do not think that it also makes the work of hackers easy. Users also use name of their wife/ husband, children, girlfriends, boyfriends, birth date on social media handles. It reduces account safety and something that one can guess very easily.

While creating your account password, do not keep any consecutive numbers or letters. Use special characters, always make sure that the password is alphanumeric. Keep in mind that if you create a simple password, the risk of your account getting hacked can increase up to 200 times.
