Apple iPhones are a popular choice among Apple fans as their daily driver. But you might feel the battery backup could be an issue if your device turns old. To help you maximise battery life and increase its lifespan, Apple has shared a few tips that can be helpful to ensure you do not require frequent battery replacements if you wish to enjoy longer backup from your device over time.
Here are the top five tips that you should know.
How To Increase Battery Life On iPhone?
Avoid Extreme Heat/Cold: Apple noted that users should try to ensure the ambient temperature is around 16° to 22° C when using an iPhone. A temperature of over 35° C can "permanently damage battery capacity", Apple said. Plus, extreme cold could lead to a temporary reduction in battery life. While charging at high temperatures, remove applied accessories for better heat dissipation.
Partial Charging: Apart from extreme temperatures, you should try not to "fully discharge" or charge your battery. You can maintain a value of about 50 per cent. In the ideal state, you should not charge beyond 80 per cent to minimise battery degradation in the long run.
Update Software: Apple recommends users keep their iPhones updated to ensure the device battery performance is not affected by any software bugs or flaws. You can head to "Settings" and check for "Software Update" within "General".

Adjust Settings: The tech giant also recommends users lower the brightness or use Auto-Brightness mode. Also, use Wi-Fi over mobile data whenever possible. Moreover, you can turn on "Low Power Mode" for longer battery life in extreme situations where keeping the phone on is critical. "Low Power Mode reduces display brightness, optimises device performance and minimises system animations," Apple said.
Other Tricks: Users can limit background activity by limiting "Background App Refresh" entirely, turning off location and background location use and limiting app notifications from apps that frequently awake the screen. Beyond the Apple-certified tips, you can switch off haptic feedback, Always-On Display, activate dark mode and uninstall unnecessary apps, among other measures to maximise your battery life.
