BGMI Down News: Several users in India reported issues while inviting friends and joining teams in Krafton's popular battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) earlier today. The "Request timed out" error message continued to pop up in the game's UI during the invite or joining operations. Users speculated the problem to be a technical glitch or a bug. BGMI has not shared an official statement on the update.

Elevated reports of disruption on Downdetector, an outage monitoring site, and user reactions via posts on X (formerly called Twitter) hint at the existence of issues in BGMI. Among the affected users, most of them face issues with server connection followed by problems with gameplay and log-in. In India, Delhi, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru are among the most affected regions as per the heatmap of Downdetector which registered slightly under 100 reports of disruption.

On Elon Musk's microblogging site X, while some users went on to share frustrating reactions, others continued to crave bug fixes. "Why aren't we able to invite friends??? Fix this asap!!!" a user said. "What is this BGMI? It is not showing invite and not letting us join any team at this time," another one added. Some went on to mark the game as "Bug Ground Mobile India" and others asked the affected users to uninstall the app.

Reports of problems in BGMI have subsided on Downdetector. The same is the case on X. No notable complaints of technical issues while inviting friends or joining teams have been reported in the last 3-4 hours. Hence, it seems the problem could have been fixed. However, note that BGMI developer Krafton has not shared an update on the issue that plagued select users.
