BGMI also known as Battlegrounds Mobile India seems to have a good day. Soon after the BGMI developer Krafton released a statement saying the BGMI is returning for the Indian fans, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar taking to his official Twitter handle said that the game is permitted for the three-month trial approval after the game company complied with issues of server locations and data security.

“This is a 3-month trial approval of #BGMI after it has complied with issues of server locations n data security etc. We will keep a close watch on other issues of User harm, Addiction, etc in the next 3 months before a final decision is taken,” he tweeted.

Interestingly, the game is making a comeback after over 10 months. BGMI was removed from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store and the updates and servers were restricted over the privacy data concerns and involvement of Chinese company Tencent. As per the authorities, the game was sharing the data and doing data mining in China. Interestingly, BGMI had over 100 million users at the time when it was removed from the app stores.

Previously, PUBG was banned due to privacy concerns and data mining concerns, as the companies had ties to China. According to the IT ministry, "are engaged in activities that are prejudicial to India's sovereignty and integrity, defence, state security, and public order."

“We are firmly devoted to the Indian gaming environment at KRAFTON, Inc. Our strategy has always been centered on India, which serves as the foundation for all of our operations. We believe in investing in the Indian gaming sector and helping to create a thriving ecosystem that promotes growth and innovation,” said the company while announcing the comeback of BGMI in India.

On the other hand, it is still unclear what exact changes will the game feature. As reported earlier, the game is expected to come with a daily time limit along with a few in-game changes including the change in colours of blood.
