Nothing, a London-based smartphone maker, has announced 'CMF by Nothing', a sub-brand of the company. The vertical will focus on quality and affordable technology, different from the premium products of Nothing. In the "Community Update" video on YouTube, CEO Carl Pei shared that the brand will launch a smartwatch and earbuds this year.

According to the video, while Nothing will focus on design innovation, premium products and the latest technology, CMF will stress clean design, accessibility and trusted quality. The design and user-centric approach will be the common goal of both Nothing and CMF.

Nothing vs CMF by Nothing: What's the difference?

In the words of Carl: "Nothing will keep focusing on design innovation, and we're going to keep pushing boundaries there. Nothing products are going to be premium products with the highest-end components and the best performance. And they will also feature the latest technology so you always get the latest and greatest with Nothing."

"CMF by Nothing, on the other hand, is going to be focused on clean and timeless design. It is going to be accessibly priced so that more people can get access to our ecosystem. And it's going to feature quality that's very hard to find in this price segment," Pei added.
