Rivalling Elon Musk's X, Bluesky, a social messaging network financed by Jack Dorsey, revealed on Wednesday that it is introducing a new "hide post" function, an in-app video player, and an audio player for links. The company has added an in-app music player and video player to its latest update. Additionally, YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, and Twitch embeds can now be played within the app."A tap is required for this to activate. No autoplay," Bluesky declared.

If there is something that users don't want to see again, they can also hide posts. If you access it directly, it will be hidden behind a mask and removed from your newsfeed. The business stated, "This feature is in beta; hidden posts are not yet synchronised between your devices."

The latest update also resolved a crash bug that occasionally happened when dealing with threads, repaired an issue that would result in an empty home screen, and fixed a bug that caused muted and barred account lists to appear as empty.

Bluesky made it possible to view messages on its site without logging in last week. To create an account and begin posting, users will require an invitation; however, they can access postings using a link. Posts can be shared by users in private or public chat rooms. Bluesky introduced "more advanced automated tooling" earlier this month with the aim of identifying content that contravenes its community guidelines. Even though Bluesky is still an invite-only app, it has amassed 2 million users.
