Elon Musk has already made a number of modifications since acquiring the microblogging platform X. With this, X (previously Twitter) was also seen transitioning to video content all through the previous year. In the latest update, X will soon feature an entirely new application dedicated to TV. Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X, confirmed that it plans to rival YouTube and allow users to post high-quality content and stream it.
The X TV app's interface is a lot like YouTube's, claims a report. Yaccarino claimed in a post on the social media site that "X is changing everything," referring to the shift from the small to the big screen.
"With the X TV App, we'll soon be able to stream entertaining, real-time entertainment to your smart TVs," X CEO said. "This will be your go-to companion for a premium, immersive entertainment experience on a larger screen," she added.
The trending video algorithm, AI-powered themes, cross-device compatibility, improved video search, easy casting, and broad availability are all to be expected (coming soon to most smart TVs).
"We'll update you, we promise. Of course, feel free to express your thoughts. "We construct X for our community," Yaccarino added.
The purpose of the trending video algorithm is to provide consumers with personalised, viral material to keep them informed. The app will also have improved video search, and the AI-powered topics will arrange movies according to subject.
A video playlist/index for creators, according to X user, would be great "so we can create our own playlists"´."A lot of people upload a range of videos, and they would like to distinguish between the 30-second news pieces they are commenting on and their own original work. Being able to see only their well-chosen videos would be beneficial for viewers," the user remarked.
